Not only is the Nintendo DS Lite available in a rainbow of colors, but the top half of its clamshell design is also a perfect easel for limited edition designs and etchings. Here's a sampling of the especially unique limited edition Nintendo DS's that have been available in the past. Most are out of production and will need to be hunted down on eBay.

A dreamy pink Nintendo DS Lite with a metallic shine that was a key component of the Nintendogs Nintendo DS Lite bundle. The Metallic Rose edition of the Nintendo DS Lite is still available, though it lacks the Nintendogs pack-in game and the cute pawprint graphic.
